5 Achievable Resolutions for New Years!
Resolutions
The year has just begun and that only means one thing: it’s time to think about your resolutions for the upcoming year! If you’ve never made a list of resolutions, why not start one this year? Resolutions are productive ways to set goals and intentions for the New Year, whether you want to quit smoking or start exercising to be healthier. Here’s a list of achievable resolutions you can add to your list:
Explore New Places
We can all agree that visiting new places is a lot of fun! You get to enjoy nice landscapes, learn about new cultures within a country, or discover new cuisines. No matter where you choose to go, make sure you enjoy everything from the weather to the people you meet. If you are on a budget, there’s no need to go abroad, you can explore a city in your hometown that you’ve never been to before. Take a pen, a notebook and start jotting down the places you would love to see!
Learn How to Cook New Dishes
When was the last time you learned to cook something new? If you can’t even remember the answer, it’s time for you to dust off those old cookbooks and get creative! You’ll not only get to enjoy tasty recipes every week, but you’ll also save money eating in when you are craving something delicious.
Read Every Day
American author, Dr. Seuss, once said “the more you read, the more things you’ll know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Reading is great not only because it allows you to learn about new things and expand your vocabulary, but also because it helps improve your memory, reduce stress, and stimulate your mind. Go to your local library, buy a book online, or even download it on your tablet to commit yourself to read for at least 30 minutes a day. Take More Walks
If you aren’t the type of person who loves to go to the gym, but still wants to do some exercise you can go for a walk around your neighborhood. Walking for at least 30 minutes a day can help you reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure, prevent chronic diseases and boost your mood while simultaneously helping you maintain overall heart health. Once you get used to the habit of walking, you might even be inspired to jog or run a bit.
Drink Plenty of Water
The body constantly loses water during the day through sweat or even tears, so it’s important you drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. If you are the kind of person that only drinks water when thirsty, you should totally include this idea in your resolution list for next year. Keep in mind, the water you drink has to be clean and free of harsh chemicals, otherwise you’ll do more harm than good to your health. If you want to ensure your water is clean at all times, you can get one of our water filters. We have diverse options depending on your budget or needs, including:
- Reusable bottles: These are great to carry water with you at all times. We have 2 different options: the plastic bottle and the stainless-steel bottle. Both come with a filter and a sleeve. Every filter lasts for up to three months!

- Drinking filters: The perfect alternative to have unlimited clean water at all times in your home. We offer different options depending on whether you would like to have it installed or simply displayed on the top of your counter.
- Clean water dispenser: If your water pressure at home isn’t great, you can always opt for our water dispenser to enjoy fresh water. Its tested technology has been proven to efficiently remove over 97% of chlorine and chloramines from tap water.
- Shower filter: Although this option is not for drinking, it’s great to have it to protect your hair and skin from harsh chemicals that come through the tubes of your shower. Its BPA free, two-stage filter cartridge helps remove 90% of chlorine and synthetic chemicals to provide a better experience in the shower.
- Now that you have read these ideas, you can start your own list. Keep in mind that creating new habits takes time, patience and commitment. Change is hard, and a new behavior won’t become automatic overnight, but once you reach your goals you’ll feel great satisfaction!
